For those of you who rode Marques Colston, Reggie Wayne, Victor Cruz, Percy Harvin, Brandon Marshall, and Josh Gordon last week, you no doubt dominated your wide receiver match-ups and probably won your head-to-heads or placed in the money in GPPs. Which pass-catchers will rise to the occasion and be this week’s most bantered about at water coolers? Let’s find out as we breakdown our most and least favorite wide receivers per StarStreet’s Week 6 salary cap structure.

Start ‘Em

Roddy White WR Atlanta Falcons ($12,130) – Honestly, you can’t go wrong drafting either Roddy or Julio Jones this week with the Raiders giving up an average of 283.0 passing yards per game (#27) at 7.6 yards per pass (#20). However, White has been Matty Ice’s go to receiver in the Georgia Dome where he has 23 targets, 16 receptions, 271 yards, and 3 TDs compared to Jones’s 15 targets, 5 receptions, 44 yards, and no TDs. When on the road, Julio has been the man (31 targets, 21 receptions, 269 yards, and 4 TDs). Both of these guys are must-adds to your Week 6 fantasy football roster, but we’ll play in-line with the home/away trend and back White against the Raiders.

Percy Harvin WR Minnesota Vikings ($12,403) – The last time Harvin played on the road, he returned the opening kick for a touchdown to set the tone for his squad’s crucial NFC North Week 4 battle with the Detroit Lions. Off a 108 yard and one TD performance against the Titans last week, Harvin is one of the most targeted WRs in the league having been thrown to by upstart QB Christian Ponder a hefty 48 times. Through the Vikes first five games, he was targeted the most in four of them. With the duo running up against a Redskins defense that’s surrendering an average of 33.8 fantasy points per game (FPPG) to WRs and has conceded eight TD passes, Harvin is in store for another huge fantasy outing!

Sit ‘Em

Reggie Wayne WR Indianapolis Colts ($11,054) – The former Miami Hurricane had a game for the ages last week against Green Bay whom he hauled in 13 catches against for 212 yards and a touchdown. The Packers possess a below average pass defense (#17 at 230.0 YPG) but that won’t be the case this Sunday in Flushing. The Jets are only conceding an average of 14.4 FPPG to opposing wide receivers, and Wayne will more than likely have Antonio Cromartie mirroring his every move. He just made Andre Johnson an afterthought last week, and I expect him to do the same in Week 6 versus Wayne who most definitely drank from the fountain of youth to get up for last week’s emotional home spot. Look for a much different story ending come Sunday.

Torrey Smith WR Baltimore Ravens ($9,333) – Torrey has a couple things running up against him heading into Sunday’s must-see match-up against the Cowboys. The first, the Ravens offense has sputtered the last couple weeks as it’s scored an average of just 12.5 points per game. Second, Dallas owns the top ranked WR defense that’s given up an average of just 13.8 FPPG to opposing pass catchers. On top of that, the Cowboys will enter this one stark-raving mad after they were embarrassed their last time out on MNF and will have had two weeks to prepare. The Cowboys stop unit got healthier during their bye, and that will only help limit Smith’s chances even more. Stay away from the Ravens deep threat in this one.

**Week 6 Value Start**

Denarius Moore WR Oakland Raiders ($8,056) – With the Raiders susceptible to getting blown out in this one due to their woeful pass defense, it’s clearly within the realm of possibility that Oakland will be playing catch-up for most of the game. With Darrius Heyward-Bey now healthy since getting his bell rung, the Raiders top pass-catcher won’t have to deal with as many double-teams from Atlanta’s defense. That paired with the fact that he’s been QB Carson Palmer’s most heavily targeted receiver means he could surprise with a 20-point fantasy football outing to earn your team some much needed points at a reduced price.
